  29. been under the impression that in order to make a switch to LightWave on 
  30. the PC, I would need to purchase WindowsNT with a PC....but very recently 
  31. on the NewTek BBS, Chuck Baker stated that NewTek would be providing 
  32. Win32 WITH LightWave PC so that all we needed was a machine with any 
  33. form of Windows and LightWave would work fine.

  35. Now, does this mean that if I go out and purchase a "cheap" clone with 
  36. a bunch of memory and Windows3.11 installed, I'll have everything I need 
  37. to use LightWave?  ....and if I spring for WindowsNT ($???.??) it will 
  38. effectively double the render speeds of LightWave PC?

  40. Please forgive the "dumb" PC questions, but I've spent the last 10 years 
  41. avoiding PC's as much as possible and now that I've accepted the inevitable 
  42. demise of the Amiga, I want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself 
  43. into before joining the "dark side".    =)
